When looking to get away from the problems with bottled water delivery, there are a few things to consider. The choice of vendor, the type of equipment and the installation itself are the most important things to think about when looking for a professional water cooler installation in Denver or other cities along the Front Range of Colorado. Let’s talk about these choices and why the installation of the water cooler just might be the most important part of this decision process.
Office Water Cooler Vendor
How long have they been in business? Are they local to Colorado or a nationwide brand? What is their reputation? Have you looked at their Google Reviews? Are they trying to lock you into a long term contract with painful exit clauses? What about add on charges for filters, service calls and miscellaneous parts? And very importantly – are these items outlined in writing? These are just a few of the most popular things to consider when looking for your office water cooler vendor.
Choice of Equipment or System
Feeling good about the Vendor so far? Awesome! Time to look at these variables. Is it one size fits all or do they have a menu of products to choose from? Does the system waste water as part of its filtration process? Is it Energy Star rated? Does the system store water until it is used (yuck!!) or is all water instantly filtered and instantly dispensed into your cup, glass or Camelbak? Depending on your office; image and user experience are important things to consider as well.
And this question needs to be highlighted – Does the Vendor spell out exactly what piece of equipment or system will be installed? Too many times the new Customer is sold on the idea of getting a “Hot and Cold Water Dispenser” installed. Ok…that is a very general term, so exactly what system? What is the name of the system? Is this system featured on their site and marketing materials? If not? Odds are something from the back of the warehouse or fresh off of Craigslist will be installed.
Water Cooler Installation in Denver
Decision has been made, paperwork has been signed (hopefully!) and it’s time to set up the day/time for the water cooler installation in Denver, Greenwood Village, Centennial or any other city along the Front Range of Colorado. The featured picture above is a classic ClearView Water installation, so let’s walk thru a few of the steps that we follow:
- Connect to an ice maker box behind the refrigerator. Example of an ice maker box can be found here.
- Run/tack 1/4” pex pipe behind refrigerator and then along the wall.
- Notch the dark cove base moulding at its base and start running the pipe in that recess along the wall. You cannot see the pipe for a perfectly clean installation!
- Bring pipe up behind the ION Drinking Water System, connect to a dedicated shut off valve and then connect to the back of the system.
- Plumbing is complete and it’s time to do the initial set up process, flush the filter, final checks and review with Customer.
- The water cooler installation is complete and all in this takes 60-90 minutes.
Hope this is helpful and you can see that there is a bit more to this than may meet the eye. All of this is performed by plumbers and ClearView Water and always sets the stage for a long term relationship with the Customer.
